Today many schools are finding it more difficult to leave the school premises for innovative educational experiences due to lack of funding and insurance risks. History Out of The Box provides students and teachers with an interactive website, as well as curriculum that meets the state standards, and a history outreach program that brings creative, hands-on activities to the classroom. This outreach program will focus on public history using local art and architecture, primary documents, archeology, the environment and other primary resources to teach the students of Sarasota County about the community they live in.
