Learn the history of candle dipping, and hand
dip a candle to take home.

Learn the ancient art of paper marbling,
and design your own marbled paper.
* Victorian Tea/Teddy Bear Tea
Enjoy an afternoon tea, and learn about the
Victorian customs and manners that were
part of the tea ritual. Create your own
Victorian calling card.
* Historic Game & Activity Birthday Parties
American Girl Themed Parties
Throw a history themed party and Jan will
bring the activities and materials needed,
as well as run the party from set-up to
clean-up.
* Holiday & Special Occasion Programs
Learn the history and traditions of each holiday
and create a unique craft for each holiday or
special occasion.
* Sheep to Shawl
Learn the textile history of weaving, and try
your hand at weaving on the triangle shawl loom.

* Surveying Treasure Hunt
Students learn how settlers plotted their land, and
then set off on a surveying treasure hunt using a
compass to navigate thru the clues.
* History of children’s pastimes
Discuss what children did for fun one hundred years
ago. Why many of the games have meaning, and then
play the same games that were played in the past.
* Garbology
Students will study and extrapolate where the
garbage being studied came from, and how
archaeologists discover information about
past cultures.
