The Crowley Museum & Nature center will be holding their annual Pioneer Day this Saturday from 10am until 4pm. There will be many pioneer demonstrators, sugar cane syrup demonstration, as well as my annual candle dipping and paper marbling activities. Join Jan at The Children’s Garden and dress in your best play clothes for dirt & fun. The children will learn about the Holiday Traditions and make edible decorations for the birds and animals of the garden. This program will begin at 1:00pm and end at 2:00pm.

A Cracker Kitchen

Join Jan at the Crowley Museum & Nature Center from 11am until brunch is ready, for a demonstration and hands on lesson in pioneer hearth cooking. We will discuss Cracker cooking methods, tall tales and Cracker architecture. (Most appropriate for children ages 10 to adult)
